Once again, the Office of Priestly Vocations is hosting five Junior High Vocations Days at Sacred Heart Major Seminary. It is an opportunity for seventh grade boys and girls to learn more about the vocations of priesthood and religious life. The students will hear how others have come to understand their call from God, celebrate Mass with one of our Auxiliary Bishops in the beautiful seminary chapel, enjoy a delicious meal, and tour the historic seminary. Please note that all dates have been moved to the fall semester to avoid weather-related travel issues.

(Cancelled) Fall 2020 Dates:

Tuesday, September 22, 2020
Tuesday, October 13, 2020
Wednesday, October 14, 2020
Tuesday, November 17, 2020
Wednesday, November 18, 2020

We invite you to consider bringing your 7th grade students to one of our scheduled Vocation Days. We also encourage you to invite your parish Religious Education students to join your group.

To help defray the cost of the lunch and the programming for the day-long visit, we are requesting a $5.00 per person fee (student, principal, teachers and adult chaperones). This charge is based on the total number you confirm with our office (i.e.: If you confirm 30 people and only 27 actually attend; the caterer will still charge our office for the 30 that you confirmed. As a result, we must pass this cost onto you. Your final count will be due to our office no later than the Wednesday before your visit). We require chaperones that are willing to interact with the students. There must be one chaperone seated at every table of 8 students, thus the ratio of 1 to 8.

Space is limited, and reservations will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis.

Please register your school online. To avoid incorrect registration, please sign up below by clicking on the Registration Link box.

We do ask that you confirm the number of students and chaperones 1 week before the date you are scheduled to attend. You may do so by contacting our office at (313) 868-7040.

Please contact us if you have any further questions.
